The city of Blanchard, Oklahoma is a small community located in Township 8 North, Range 4 West, Section 30 of northwestern McClain County. It was established by the Canadian Valley Construction Company, which had plans to build a railroad, but the company went bankrupt and the line was taken over by the Oklahoma Central Railroad. The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe railroads eventually completed the line. Downtown Blanchard is a one square mile area with streets arranged in a grid shape, situated on top of a gentle hill. It is surrounded by new agricultural and development areas within a 4 mile (6 km) radius from the center.
The downtown area includes houses (half of them built before 1960), several churches and a historic Main Street area with antique stores, restaurants, city services, a center for the elderly and a gym. On the outskirts of the city center there are schools, businesses and modern housing subdivisions. These subdivisions tend to be low-density lots (usually one to 5 acres) (20,000 m²).The average age in Blanchard is 39.8 years (37.2 in Oklahoma). There are four high schools with an average enrollment of 200 out of approximately 1460 students.
The elementary school is recently built and houses from pre-kindergarten to second grade. There is also a middle school for grades 3 through 5 and a middle school for grades 6 through 8.Brady Barnes is the superintendent of Blanchard Public Schools. Blanchard has the Blanchard Public Library, which is part of the Pioneer Library System that covers many of the suburbs of Oklahoma City. There are currently two parks in Blanchard, as well as a sports stadium and three golf courses nearby. If you're interested in joining a society in Blanchard, there are certain criteria you must meet before you can be accepted. The chief of police must demonstrate that any restrictions on who can join a society in Blanchard are reasonable and necessary for public safety. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have no criminal record or history of violence or drug abuse.
They must also be able to provide proof of identity and residence in Blanchard. Applicants must also demonstrate that they have sufficient financial resources to support themselves while living in Blanchard. In addition to these requirements, applicants must also demonstrate that they have an understanding of the laws and regulations governing societies in Blanchard. They must also agree to abide by all rules and regulations set forth by the society they wish to join. Once an applicant has met all these requirements, they will be required to attend an orientation session with the society's leadership team. During this session, applicants will be asked questions about their background and experience as well as their commitment to following all rules and regulations set forth by the society. Once an applicant has been accepted into a society in Blanchard, they will be required to pay annual dues and abide by all rules set forth by the society's leadership team.
Failure to do so may result in expulsion from the society.
